How do I track my steps?
You can use a smartwatch or an app you already have on your phone or tablet such as Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, or MapMyWalk. If you need to do a search to download an app just put in “step counter.” If you don’t care about steps, just keep track of how many minutes you have walked.
Will we be walking with Coach Betsy?
You will be walking on your own most of the time but Coach Betsy will be organizing 3-5 local walks on the Eastern Shore of Virginia during the challenge.
Can I run instead of walk?
Sure! If running feels good, go for it.Do I need special shoes or gear?
Not really. Just comfortable shoes or sneakers, or if you’re like me, sandals. Hydrate beforehand and bring a water bottle and anything else that will help you keep going on your walk.Is there a cost to participate?
No. The challenge is free.What can I do if I don’t reach my goal after 100 days?
That’s ok. Life happens. Create a goal that fits with your lifestyle.
