Choose Yourself
When you’re tired, stretched too thin, and running on empty, you can’t think clearly. You move through your days reacting instead of choosing. You keep going because you have to.
But you can’t keep going when you’re running on empty.
This is your invitation to reconnect with yourself and your needs.
Set boundaries around your time and your energy.
Give yourself permission to ask for help. It’s not a sign of weakness. It’s how you give yourself grace. Ask for help with housework and yard work. Reach out for help to get healthy and strong in your mind and body.
Did you know “No.” is a complete sentence?
When you say no to what depletes you, you say yes to what matters most: your health and your happiness.
Are we having fun yet?
Try new things and step outside your comfort zone. What if you created a “fun calendar” and planned to do something fun every week?
Take time for yourself, even 10 minutes, every day:
Take a walk.
Laugh with a friend.
Host your own dance party and shake, rattle, and roll.
Destress with a sound bath or a guided meditation.
Take a shower or a bath to wash away your day.
If you can’t escape the chaos, lock yourself in the bathroom. Give yourself a moment to breathe.
When you make a change in your life, back it up with intention.
If you don’t schedule time for yourself, it won’t happen. Block out time on your calendar and make it non-negotiable. Your well-being is just as important as any meeting, obligation, or deadline.
You deserve the same care you give to everyone else.
Schedule your regular checkups to keep your health on track. Some people schedule appointments on their birthday. Others go with a friend. When I worked a 9-to-5 job, I scheduled “health days” and grouped my appointments together. Do what works for you so you can live fully.
When you take one small intentional step at a time, you’re proving to yourself that your health and happiness matters.
I work with midlife women - introverts, empaths, and people pleasers.
